Sanitation & Recycling

The City of Booker Sanitation Department provides the solid waste collection.  Dumpsters are placed in the alleys for household trash.  DO NOT PUT TREE LIMBS OR APPLIANCES IN THE DUMPSTERS.  If assistance is needed or you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.  If for some reason the dumpsters in your area are filled before your scheduled pick up, please contact City Hall and we will be glad to assist in assuring the dumpsters are emptied.

Residents are encouraged to take large items at no charge to the landfill.  Items such as appliances, furniture and tree limbs.  Landfill hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Please call before going if there has been inclement weather to assure the landfill will be open.

The City also provides an oil recycling center which is located in the alley behind City Hall.
